Cookie policy
Last updated August 27, 2026
This site uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. This page lists what they are, what they do, and how to refuse the ones that are not strictly necessary.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise your device on a later visit. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels in emails — do comparable jobs, and this page covers them too.
2. Strictly necessary
These make the site and the dashboard work, and cannot be switched off from here.
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in while you use the dashboard.
- Security cookie — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
- Preference storage — remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking.
3. Analytics
These tell us which pages get read and where people give up, so we can fix the site. They are set only if you accept them.
- Page and referrer records, IP address truncated before storage.
- A device identifier that expires after 12 months.
We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles or share it with ad networks.
4. Marketing
We currently set no advertising or retargeting cookies. If that changes — for example if we run ads for the beta — we will list them here and ask for consent before setting any.
5. Third parties
Two external services load on this site: a web font provider, and a phone-link handler when you tap a number on a mobile device. Neither is used to track you across other websites.
6. How to refuse or remove them
Use the cookie banner to decline anything that is not strictly necessary. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser and choosing again.
Every major browser also lets you block or delete cookies entirely, under settings — usually “Privacy” or “Site data”. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the dashboard from working.
7. Call recordings are not cookies
Recordings, transcripts and summaries produced when HeyLine answers your phone are not cookies and are not covered here. The privacy policy explains how those are handled.
Questions
Write to hi@heyline.io and a person will answer. If you want something in writing before joining the beta, ask — we'd rather answer it up front.
